Rains in summer is always welcome. However, rains in winter are not always a very welcome phenomenon. To wet in the rain in winter is like being put in the freezer. No one likes getting wet and chilled to bones. It was a January day. The sky was overcast.
A cool breeze was blowing. People were shivering even in their woolen clothes. Towards the afternoon it began to drizzle. Soon it began to rain heavily. The strong wind continued to blow Roads became crowd less, slippery and muddy. There were a few vehicles left on the roads.
They splashed water and mud as they went on their way. There were no customers in the market. As a matter of fact, nobody liked to come out of their houses in biting cold. Those who were caught in the rain were trying to find a suitable shelter in order to escape from the cold and rain. Those who got wet could be seen shivering in cold. Most of them could not go home in biting cold and rain. Students were also caught in the rain. The schools were over and the students were out. They were getting wet.
The rain had spoiled their books and uniforms. Some were covering themselves with umbrellas for safety. Those who came in school buses were quickly getting inside their buses. Others were braving cold and rains and going home. It stopped raining after an hour. People moved out of their houses to make necessary purchases. The wind grew colder. It cut through the bones. People tried to keep themselves warm. Hot tea and coffee were in great demand. Cyclists and scooterists were desperately trying to keep their hands warm.
They could hardly maintain their balance. Most of the people remind Indoors and sat around the fire.
